Huzzah!
Young Master York, known to his friends as Sir Daniel, has finally agreed to smoke the podcasting dope on a more permanent basis.
Having been given the opportunity to find his feet on the For Immediate Release podcast (and to which I am a fellow proud contributor), he has now ventured into the heady world of podcasting for one’s self.
The Blue Box: The VOIP Security podcast has already celebrated its third edition and a crackingly good listen it is, too.
I’ll confess; the idea of listening to a geek wax lyrical about geek coding-stuff was about as enticing as the thought of cleaning up my 14 year old stepson’s bedroom without wearing industrial-strength rubber gloves.
But Dan’s passion and enthusiasm SHINES through the podcast (which he co-runs with Jonathan Zar) and in listening to sneak previews of the first two podcasts I surprisingly found myself
a) enjoying what I was listening to
b) wanting to hear more.
Yes, the drugs had obviously kicked in — but seriously, even though I had zero interest in VOIP tech stuff before listening to Dan’s podcast, I certainly have a much greater appreciation and interest in the topic now.
An excellent podcast and welcome, Dan and Jonathan, to the giddily-exciting world of listening to your own voice’s foibles as you eagerly watch your stats rise. It really is fun, honest!
