Tables and the new WordPress

a table, yesterday

Ben kindly updated me to the latest version of WordPress and all has been well until this morning.

I wanted to include a table in my post The message deserves the right medium with all of the different channels a message can be delivered by.

Despite creating the post in RocketPost and it all looking quite lovely and spiffy in it, when I copied the html across to WordPress the table disappeared, except for the first row.

So I went back into WordPress via my online access, to edit it directly in WordPress. No problems, cut and paste the table code, all previewed well. Save and post it…

No table except for the first row.

Seven attempts at replicating this later and still no table. Hence the long list of channels, rather than a much tidier-looking table.

Anyone else having problems with WordPress and tables?

Lee, what might cure the problem is to ensure that you have a value set for the table width (eg: width=100%).

I had the same issue with a table and ensuring a width value was set fixed the problem. Not sure, though, whether it’s a WP issue or a theme issue. You’ll need to experiment a bit.

Cheers for that, Neville — I’ll try it.
