My podcasts and vidcastsIf you read a previous post of mine about creating videos for the iPod, you would remember that it involved a large number of steps and a considerable amount of time.

Step and wait no more!

Courtesy of a deep google search I found a fantastic forum wherein, lying in mystic ruins carved into the very living rock, lies the resting place of the most ho…..

Sorry, wrong script.

Anyway, I came across Xilisoft.

Yes, silly name. But OH what software!

I downloaded the free trial (it limits you to a five-minute video, no matter what format you save to) and it was BLINDINGLY FAST!

And accurate, too!

I had been having troubles all day Friday with converting my latest vidblog into formats suitable for both Click.TV and my iPod (truly — for about 16 hours I had been wrestling with this! Now, normally I am a patient man, but…) . But with the one piece of software (The Xilisoft Video Converter) I can save the wmv file that Windows Movie Maker outputs into both .flv (Click.TV’s format) and .mp4 (which the video iPod can cope with).

I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am to find a piece of software that does this conversion stuff in under one hour! Xilisoft did it in minutes – mere minutesWOO HOO!!!

At USD$35 a bargain, me thinks!

I have snapped it up and a very happy blogging podcasting vidcaster I am too!
