G'day! Thanks for returning!

Imagine my heart stopping when I saw Allan’s shocking confession:

I support the murderous Myanmar regime, and let me explain why

I steeled myself to read Allan’s justification for his action. Could I, would I, still call him a ‘good friend’?

It turns out that Allan is reporting on the scandalous behaviour of the Danish national pension scheme that is contributing to the regime without anyone’s permission, whether they like it or not.

Says Allan:

“ATP supports the junta through an investment in Total, a French company helping the junta extract oil and natural gas.

When asked about the investment, Bjarne Graven, the fund manager at ATP replied: “Neither Denmark, the EU or the UN has set up an embargo against Burma, and it’s not our job to pursue an independent foreign policy.”

Well, OK! Easy to say when your investors cannot move their money in protest, but smart?”

If you feel as strongly as Allan does (and I certainly do) then please join him in spreading this meme, and also click on the image below.

Cheers.

  • Unfortunately, the junta seems to have cowed everyone back into silence... this time.
