Facebook to be opened up to Google? Scary!

"Facebook is not open but they are working on it" says ErnoHannink at the LeWeb08 conference

Noticed this tweet from @ernohannink — if this is true, this will be scary to a whole lot of people who want to remain behind Facebook’s walled garden and not have their details all over Google…

    Thanks for the ref. Like I said on twitter before. I think it will always be YOUR option to share the info from your account with other platforms. So it will not be ‘open’ for the search engines.

    2008/09 is Google’s connection year.
    Buuut … Google and the open source/standards approach is so fundamentally different to the closed/walled approach of Facebook.

    Scary for the users of Facebook, not yet but in 2 years time, yep.
