Alas, I couldn’t attend her Adelaide gig a couple of weeks back (I was in a private consult) but if I had there would have been TWO shiny happy faces beaming back at her.

Laurel was in my town for a roadshow to accountants put on by their professional body, the CPA; yes, the same body that Lindy McKeown and I held a virtual presentation for in Second Life a few months back.

Laurel has put together a tasty slidedeck on what SocMed is from a corporate perspective (aka ‘Why The Heck I Should Care’) and I love the images she uses.

Her slidedeck is below, and beneath that is a great deck on the perennial ‘ROI’ question.

Enjoy!

p.s. Some delegates have asked me why I don’t use Slideshare — the reason is that quite often I pay for my images (via stock photo sites) and don’t like the idea of some bugger pinching them and using them in their own show. That’s why I make the slides available as pdfs. Plus, as delegates to my workshops and seminars know, I use movies a lot, but those movies are also ‘paid for’ in the majority of cases.
