Further to my earlier post and a great interaction amongst many of the Adelaide SocMed/SocNet community, it looks like Wednesday next week (2nd December*) is the ‘best fit’ for the majority.
Naturally, this is not the best fit for everyone; I apologise that some will have to miss out or will have to rearrange their schedules if they are to attend, but there is little I can do about that.
So, the invite is out there: anyone and everyone who has any interest in SocMed/SocNet in Adelaide – stroke – South Australia and wishes to see if there is or isn’t any value in co-ordinating our resources is welcome to attend.
Not being able to predict how many will turn up, I suggest we meet somewhere in the open first, in order to gauge numbers; we then, depending on numbers, either head to a hotel bar or to a cafe so that everyone can have an equal chance of being heard and hearing what is being said.
Does anyone have any suggestions for suitable venues for
- the open-air gathering place?
- the actual discussion place?
Comments/suggestions either here or on Twitter – hashtag #SMCADL (because whether or not we decide to affiliate with the Social Media Club there is little benefit to be gained by frickin’ around with hashtags this early in the game just to set up a bloomin’ meeting).

* 2nd is also the day after my birthday, so you can STILL all buy me drinks! [big grin]
