Paull Young is in deep water

Actually, he’s deeply involved with charity: water, which aims to raise awareness and give water to the millions who don’t have what we all take for granted: access to clean water.

Did you know, for example, that a mere $20 will provide one person with water for 20 years? And that all of the charity’s administrative costs (office, salaries, etc) are covered by other donors who donate specifically for that purpose?

Here’s Paull explaining it all further:

I remember seeing The Police play a promo video about the charity at their Adelaide concert a couple of years ago and thought at the time that it was an initiative close to my heart: I live in the Adelaide hills, in a section where there is no mains water, just whatever rain water we can collect. Should South Australia’s summer droughts continue to get longer each year we may have to think about protecting our rain water tanks from those who would wish to take some of our water away from us.

Paull has taken up the post of Director of Digital Engagement and Fundraising and I wish him fantastic success in it.

You can read more about Paull’s new job over on his new-look blog (about time you got a domain name for yourself, mate! [smile]) and you can read about charity: water over on their innovative website.

On yer, mate!

Hi Lee – thanks for the comment mate! Thanks for the support as always and I hope you'll get right behind the cause – with nearly 1 billion people lacking access to clean water it's a big one.
