Second Life business mag to launch

Okay. I believed Shel and Neville when they said podcasting was the next thing. They were right. So when Shelville say that Getta Second Life is something more than just a curiosity, I have to have faith in their track record so far.
So I have cancelled my ‘free, trial and error, let’s see what this is all about’ avatar account and am about to launch a more concerted effort to get to understand this new medium.
After all, if the indefatigable CC Chapman (in a private correspondence), amongst many other luminaries, believes in it then I perforce must spend a bit of energy on it. CC - I’ll take you up on that offer shortly; fancy an interview in SL?
So here is how my branding will go:
- LeeHopkins.com — my main website with all of my free articles on business communication
- LeeHopkins.net — my blog
- LeeHopkins.name — a redirect to my
GettaSecond Life presence, including a storefront for both myself and the Cafe, as well as a test space for a particular client of mine I believe would benefit from it
It just amuses me, though, that since Australia has not yet taken even halfheartedly to blogging, yet alone podcasting, how many years will it be, Trevor and Paull, before SL becomes something that enters into the radar space of Aussie corporates? Stuart: do you think Santos will ‘go’ a SL presence?
Useful reads if you are new to all this Second Life stuff and are trying to figure out WHY you should be in the slightest bit interested/concerned:
