Second Life meetup highlights traditional PR issue - alcoholism

The recent Second Life meet up organised by Kami Huyse was well attended, I thought, particularly by those who aren’t the ‘usual suspects’.
Featuring long-time PR Second Lifer, Jeremy Pepper, the meeting also attracted the interest of a non-PR journalist, Miller Copeland, who promises to follow the exploits of this rag-tag mob, and also Eric Rice himself.
I had meant to skype Eric later in the day (the meetup was at the crack of dawn for me) but other issues got in the way and I have yet to talk with him about how he sees the ‘traditional’ business fitting into the Second Life universe.
But lest you fall asleep thinking that it was all ‘business, business, business’, let me assure you that some traditional PR activities occurred.
Here’s a picture of Kami engaging in that most noble of PR activities — drinking. We do worry about the girl…
And Kami has loaded a 12-page transcript (pdf) if you are so inclined… but read her post first.
I look forward to the next ‘meet up’ — and let us not forget the ‘Infinite Mind’ in-world meet up of the Second Life Business Communicators (another group) later today (unfortunately I won’t be able to attend).
