  1. As a regular Second Life user I find the stats the Project Factory put out amusing - particularly the claim that Telstra are the number 1 across all world-wide brand. I visited the Bigpond set-up for the first time a fortnight ago. The first thing that stood out for me was the size of the place - it’s something like ten islands. Each has its own traffic statistics, which it appears have been added together to get the 18000 or so - what I don’t see is a disclaimer that the same people that hang out on one part of the island are the same people moving into other sections - thus these figures are wildly inflated compared to say IBM or Dell. I personally don’t trust any figures coming from any entity who has an active development role in new business presences - it’s like believing McDonalds when they say they have the healthiest burgers.
