The CommsCafe has moved.
The US$40/month rent was just too high to sustain, and although the location was beautiful, it was time to find somewhere more economically sustainable for the Comms Cafe consultancy.
I had a brief chat with Gary Hazlitt (the same Gary that built the Bigpond islands and the ABC island) and he suggested a couple of places to try. One was right next door to a sexy nightclub (probably not the image I want) and the other, part of the SL Tourism Tours property, offered me either small apartments or shop fronts, some of which had been let.
But as my consultancy is not really a ’shop’ selling digital goods and services, I continue my search for a business park type setting.
There are a few, but they don’t have the corporate feel that I’m going for.
Yes, the beauty of Second Life is that you can create your own office in whatever style you choose, limited only by your imagination, but since I want to attract corporate and medium-large sized businesses to consider settling into SL, I believe that giving them something that they recognise amongst their first few impressions is important.
The trek continues… if you have any suggestions (ahem!) please let me know.
